"Some days it's better to stay in bed" Newton's First Law

general

This site is my little corner of the huge and rapidly growing information super-highway. After starting to mess about with web design in yearly 2001 - creating an Air Cadet Site, I took the decision to use a professional package at the beginning of 2002 to create this site. The site is constructed using Dreamweaver 4 - and it took a lot of patience - equally combined with a lot of mistakes - for it to get to its point as you see it today.

The content of the site is fairly middle-of-the-roadish, covering the main sorts of areas you are likely to bump into on a personal site. With regards to style - some of my friends thinking I completely lack it owing to choice of clothes - the site is relatively good-looking with what I would consider to be an easy navigation system.

This modest work-of-art has not been overloaded with the latest 'Flash'-graphics-you-are-more-likely-to-see-in-a-cinema type of style. However, I do believe a visual element is important in communication - here being no exception and so endeavors have been made to insert, where appropriate (and sometimes where not!) graphics to enhance your visit.

The site uses Verdana Font - typically 2 pt. Which leads me on a slight tangent - have you ever discussed with friends different font types? Its kind of a glass ceiling of utter sadness!... I know because I've been there! Interjected on the left-hand columns of the site are quotes that I like and at the bottom of most pages, I have included a World Record of some description... all this to make your visit a more pleasurable one.
